The Los Angeles World Affairs Council is pleased to present a Young Professional Study Tour to El Salvador. This tour is a short, immersive program that explores the country's dynamic political transformation alongside its rich culture and natural beauty. Over four nights, participants engage with journalists, academics, civil society leaders, and youth voices to better understand debates around governance, security, and democracy, while also experiencing daily life through visits to historic districts and community spaces.
The itinerary blends professional insight with hands-on exploration, including a university roundtable, a briefing at the U.S. Embassy, excursions to iconic sites such as El Boquerón National Park, and meetings with rural entrepreneurs. Combining policy discussions, cultural exchange, and outdoor adventure, the tour offers young professionals a well-rounded perspective on a country in transition.

This tour is for LAWAC members who are between the ages of 18-40 years old.
